She was forcefully betrothed, as common in her culture, to replace her mother as Queen when she came of age (in her 100s), she instead opted to run away from home. She's eventually traveled a larger portion of the world than most Elves and met Poco. Having been taught her whole life that goblins were evil and natural enemies to Elves, their initial meeting did not go well.
