Haha… That’s a fair point – I’d characterize it as him taking a moment to be glib back and show resolve in the face of extreme circumstances! Kinda like… hyping yourself up. In the end, he ended up making a promise that… well… you’ll see 🙂
This made me immediately think of a line from NCIC, “Oh, God, you’ve got that mustache in a box, don’t you!?”
