What do last rites entail in this world? (Or will we see?)
I’ll be shown a bit later, but it’s essentially appealing to a deity or ideal they followed. In this world, you don’t have to follow a deity for a soul to be taken to a different plane – an ideal will do (like ‘Order’ or ‘Beauty’, for instance). Most use ‘gods’ as shorthand, but there are a plethora of them. I made a list of them years back and I’m just now getting around to putting them in here, haha.
