Also, ‘The Veil’ is used a lot in different situations in writing – here, it’s just the background curtain that is held in place by reality and those that are attuned can pull from the immaterial and magical realms.

“Warmth” is a healing pyromancy in Dark Souls 3… but I’m guessing that’s not a spell in this setting. XD

Why not cheat? Cast healing spells in the shape of fireballs! The enemy will think you’ve gone insane (more insane) and then get his ass chopped off by your healed teammate while distracted!
